My Top Five Pokemon.

The Tentacruel King's Top Five Pokemon

The Tentacruel King is back, and for the last post of the year, I’ll do my top five Pokémon. As you are aware, I am a HUGE Pokémon fan. I’ve been playing Pokémon for several years now, and I’ve been in love with the series ever since.
Let’s get started with number five. Number five is Garchomp. Garchomp is a Dragon- and Ground-type introduced in the fourth generation. With its great design and battle prowess, it immediately left a profound mark on my heart. Its combination of stats, typing, and movepool make it a great asset to any team. It can also Mega Evolve, though it’s not recommended.
Number 4 is Beedrill, a Pokémon first introduced in the very first generation. Beedrill’s design and typing made it one of my all time favorites. I love Bug- and Poison-types. Combining them into an awesome looking Pokémon was a good idea. While it’s stats and movepool are poor, this can easily be remedied by using its Mega Evolution.
Clocking in at number 3 is Uxie. This legendary Pokémon was introduced in the fourth generation. I consider it to be one of the cutest Pokémon ever. This Psychic-type may not be the strongest, but its amazing defensive stats and movepool make an excellent support Pokémon.
Weighing in at number 2 is surprisingly, Tentacruel. Tentacruel is a Water- and Poison-type first introduced in the first generation. This Pokémon’s design is just awesome! Its movepool and stats aren’t too shabby either. Its movepool has just everything it needs to be either a Bulky Rapid Spinner, a sweeper, or a support Pokémon.

And lastly, at number one is Victini. Victini is a Psychic- and Fire-type introduced in the fifth generation. This adorable legendary stole my heart the moment it was introduced. I consider it to be the cutest of all Pokémon. Not only is it cute, but it is also deadly. Its STABS are quite powerful. Its combination is only resisted by a handful of Pokémon. Its stats and movepool is pretty great as well. Tell me your top five Pokémon as well!

Top Five Video Game Characters

November 30th, 2015
Chris Saylors, “The Tentacruel King”

Hello, it’s me again, the Tentacruel King! I’m here to share the list of my top five all time favorite video game characters.  I’ve been a gamer ever since I was in diapers, literally. My father introduced me to video gaming when he handed me my first Gameboy (Which was a bad idea.). My very first video game was Pokémon Blue. And my all time favorite video game is Star Fox 64 (Nintendo 64, 1997).  And my all time favorite franchise is Star Fox (Nintendo, 1992-Present; most recent release Star Fox 64 3D (Nintendo 3DS, 2011).
Let’s get started, with number five being the King of the Koopas, Bowser (Super Mario). This fire-breathing turtle has left a large impact on the video gaming industry. His design, abilities, and roles in his respective series has left a profound mark in my 8-Bit heart. In many of the Mario Kart and spin-off games, I typically will play as Bowser. He’s a great character, and one of my favorites to use in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
Moving on to number four is the Princess of Hyrule, Zelda. This charmingly beautiful princess is an amazing character indeed. She sports a great character, design, and history. Ever since I played my very first Zelda game, she left her mark. Her beauty and power make her an amazing character. She’s not like other princesses; she’s brave and has a good heart. Ever since she became a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Melee, I’ve played her extensively.
Number three on out countdown is the terrifyingly powerful King of Darkness, Ganondorf. This Gerudo is easily one of the coolest villains to over come out of a game. Whether he’s sporting his pig form (Ganon) or his human form, he’s a force to be reckoned with. This powerhouse has some of the most exciting boss battles in game history, with my personal favorite being the battle in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. He also makes for a difficult and frusturating character to play against in the Super Smash Bros. series. And to top it off, his design and background are quite amazing.
On the second position on my list, is the greedy, fat clone of Mario, the scoundrel Wario. Wario is a funny, goofy, but cool character in the Mario series. His quirkiness and funny personality made him an instant favorite, not to mention some of the games he’s appeared (Not counting the Super Mario series) are pretty great. He may not be the king of platformers like Mario, but he’s certainly the prince. The honorable mentions go out to Sonic the Hedgehog, Mega Man, and Donkey Kong.
Lastly, but surely not least, we have Fox McCloud, the leader of Star Fox. Fox is the leader of a mercenary for hire team known as Star Fox. He is the cool and strong fighter with exception Arwing skills. He is also a master of hand-hand combat. His design, personality, and character is pretty cool. He also a force to be reckoned with Smash. His combination of being quick and light gives him a flurry of options to rack up damage and then KO with a strong Up-Smash. In honor of Fox winning the top spot, I will present a small video for his achievement.
